The simple and short answer to this question is a ''BIG NO''. Muslims are not allowed to kill any innocent soul whether it be human or any other living being. How can and why a religion whose literal meaning is ''peace' would allow its followers to kill anyone'. In Quran, it is mentioned that killing one innocent person is like killing all of humanity, and saving one life is like saving all of humanity. (5:32)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believer remains within the scope of his religion as long as he doesn’t kill another person illegally." (Sahih al-Bukhari)
So the perception about Islam is completely opposite of what it teaches. Islam is a religion peace and preaches nothing but peace and harmony.
