Stoning to death for Adultery was a very common practice among Jews and Christians untill the industrial revolution set it.There are clear verses in the Bible where God himself commands his people to stone adulteres.

Adultery poses a serious threat to humanity as it has unfavourable health consequences like Sexually Transmitted Diseases,Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) ,Chlamydia (3 million infected/year) , Genital Herpes (45 million ages 12 and older infected) , Genital Warts (20 million infected; 5.5 million/year) , Gonorrhea (650,000 infected/year) ,HIV / AIDS , Syphilis ,Trichomoniasis and many more.

Adultery also harms the social lives of humans as it causes the destruction of family bond and Identity of the father becomes questionable.

Although stoning is the correct punishment for adultery in Islam it cant be carried out without satisfying several conditions like 4 Witnesses are required who actually saw the act or it results in a untraced Pregnancy.

The Messenger of God Prophet Muhammad said: “... the married woman (adulteress) to the married man (adulterer) 100 lashes and stoning.”

Adultery & Stoning in has been explicity mentioned in Previous Revelations in Gospels and the Torah :

Deuteronomy 22:22 "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die."

Leviticus 20:10 "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."

So your answer is that, yes, sex with someone who is not your spouse, to include those cases of rape should be met with death? Yeah sure sounds reasonable let me join right up. Oh and saying how the Bible also says it does not make it right. Your mom never told you two wrongs dont make a right?
